Goa: |
Rated among the best throughout the world, Goa
is the most popular attraction among the tourists visiting India.
Famous for its cosmopolitan and vibrant culture, Goa was a Portuguese
colony. The remnants of its eventful past still stand tall.
Although Goa is studded with all of these timeless edifices,
beaches in Goa are on the top of the list for the visitors in
this exotic state and one of the best in the world.
Visitors from all over the world keep thronging the exotic state
for throughout the year. The reason behind this universal fascination
is availability of varied tourist attractions. Visitors have
a lot to see and still lot more is left unexplored. Be it the
art forms of Goa or handicrafts, you will be simply spell bound
to witness the artistic excellence of its artists and artisans.
Ancient temples, Portuguese churches and palatial mansions can
easily be described as masterpieces. Paintings depict the episodes
from Hindu and Christian epics. |

| North
Goa: |
Panjim the capital city is located in North Goa,
Panjim is also known as Panaji , It is a town of shades; the
pastel shades of the buildings, romantic shades of the Mediterranean,
excitable shades of Latin America and noisy shades of India.
It’s a town utterly unique to the sub-continent, yet for
most travelers it tends to be a quick after thought to a Goan
beach holiday. This is a grave mistake because the narrow winding
streets of its old Portuguese quarter, and its fine location
at the mouth of the broad Mandovi River, make Panaji one of
the indisputable highlights of Goa. There is lots to explore.
Old Goa and central Goa is a quiet achiever offering
a glimpse into small town life for those who decide to hang
their hat here for a spell. From here you can explore the still-Portuguese
flavoured town of Old Goa, with its World Heritage listed
churches and convents.
North Goa is divided into a number of "talukas" (sub-districts,
in Konkani). These are:
Bardez, Bicholim, Pernem, Ponda, Sattari, Tiswadi.

and is located in south Goa which is a commercial metropolis.
